Chernobyl Children’s Lifeline Charity

The Charity continue to help the unfortunate child victims of the Chernobyl nuclear disaster with almost 500 children having been given some hope in their lives by visiting this area, in the years since the disaster, for respite and a recuperative holiday.

It is proposed this year to bring a further 20 children to stay with local volunteer host families, receiving the benefits of good uncontaminated and healthy food, clean fresh air and a healthy environment in which to convalesce, all in an effort to rebuild their much depleted immune systems and give them hope and an opportunity of improved health.

The club members in support of this cause are pleased to donate £458 to pay for the airfare and travel costs for one of the children.
